I have always been an observer; as long as I am mindful, I can draw from an endless source of inspiration, very often in small detail of color, texture, and nuance.
I am consistently refreshed by the landscapes and seascapes of Michigan, and I often add in a nod to my home state-- the waves of the Great Lakes, the textures of oxidizing copper, the colors of an autumn landscape.
I am a very process-oriented artist. In both my art and photography, I intentionally allow the various tools and techniques to be essential to the detail of the work.
I experiment with a wide variety of brushes and paints and papers; likewise, I practice various effects and methods with my camera... often breaking the rules to see the results.
I've embraced this process of experimentation, which allows me to make all sorts of discoveries firsthand. I encourage other artists to do the same.

Proper framing is imperative to protect your artwork. In fact, poor framing will damage the work and degrade materials more quickly than leaving work unframed.
For best results, have your artwork professionally framed. Be sure all framing and mounting elements are made with archival materials. Use a mat or spacer to keep the artwork from coming in direct contact with the glass.
We occasionally offer custom framing upon request. If you are interested in having your piece framed, contact Naomi before purchasing.
Do not hang in direct sunlight or in humid areas. Use proper hardware to ensure your frame is secure.
All of our prints and originals are created with archival and museum-quality materials. With proper care, your artwork will remain pristine for decades.
To clean your framed work, spray a gentle cleanser onto a soft cloth and carefully wipe the frame.
For dirty or damaged artwork, often much damage can be repaired. Contact a professional art restoration service.
